Mission :


  • Supporting the different B.U. Managers by providing marketing insights that drive business development and sales strategies for their respective brand teams.  

This includes :

    • Plan, design and execute market research studies & surveys,
    • Analyze the results of the above,
    • Write reports and recommendations to Senior Management in order to evaluate alternatives against the organization’s business objectives.
Key areas of responsability:
 
In close working relation with the EMEA Sales & Marketing Manager and the corporate market research teams based in the US, the Market Research Analyst is responsible for the EMEA zone’s market intelligence program as well as for the timely initiation and completion of projects – including designing the overall methodology and data presentation plan.

 

This Analyst will ensure implementation of a comprehensive research plan for the different brands/product ranges and collaborate across the Business Partners to ensure meeting requirements.

 

This includes: 

  • Design, develop and execute market research projects
  • Design, develop and implement competitive intelligence projects
  • Provide information for the Long Range Plan
  • Provide active support and guidance to product management teams including legal/regulatory advice on product related legislation
  • Cooperate openly with the Market and the Sales & Marketing organization and act as a key reference person in the Marketing Department.
  • Capture, analyze, understand and communicate the parameters driving the company’s market share, bringing also ideas from the outside world.
Ideal Profile :


Education / Experience:

  • University degree in business/ economics (Master, Engineer or equivalent) required.
  • Demonstrating successful experience of minimum 3 years in market research process, within the industry/trade (B2B) or within leading marketing research firms.
  • Proven track record of ability to self conduct market surveys and exploit its results.
  • Advanced use of ERP’s, incl. Business Warehouse on top of CRM’s and usual Excel skills

Languages :

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken.
  • Any other European language is an asset.
Personality & Behavior skills :
  • The Market & Business Analyst must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking, the ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines, and work with B.U. Managers to provide recommendations that will assist in the development of commercial strategies.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous and result driven, your experience allows to initiate your own services as well as the market analyzes from scratch.
  • As a multifunctional and flexible professional, you are able to focus on key outcomes and/or to change priorities in response to specific business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) allowing you to build a strong working relation with your Market Research Colleagues based in the US.
  • Driven & motivated by the understanding of both market and customer, including the value chain:
    • Identify new opportunities for existing products / applications.
    • Identify customer needs for new products / applications.
  • Recognize market trends and provide market intelligence – select, generate and communicate information gathered.
